These Terms of Service govern your use of the Square Rig Studio website and the submission of initial enquiries or briefings. By accessing our site, you agree to comply with and be bound by these terms.

2. Website Use

You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of, restrict, or inhibit anyone else's use and enjoyment of the website. Unauthorised framing or scraping of the site architecture or content is prohibited.

3. Enquiries and Briefings

Submitting a form or an enquiry through our intake flows does not create a binding contract for services with Square Rig Studio. We assess all briefings strictly on a fit-for-purpose basis.

4. Proposals and Scope

Actual project scope, clear deliverables, and mutually binding obligations are only established via and confirmed separately in a formal proposal or master agreement executed by Square Rig Studio and the client.

5. Pricing and Estimates

Any pricing frameworks or tiers displayed on this website are strictly indicative. Final financial investments will vary based on the specific scope, complexity, structure, and strategic requirements of your tailored engagement.

6. Payment & Billing

• All project work is confirmed by written proposal or statement of work before commencement
• Standard terms: 50% deposit before work begins, 50% final balance before launch, handover or final file release, unless agreed otherwise in writing
• For fixed-scope or advisory work, full payment may be required upfront
• Monthly retainers are billed in advance
• Work does not begin until payment has cleared
• Third-party costs are charged separately unless specifically included in the proposal
• Client delays may affect delivery timelines and may result in additional charges
• Projects paused for more than 3 working days due to client delay may be rescheduled to the next available production slot
• Restart or reactivation fees may apply where projects require re-scoping due to client delay or change of direction
• Deposits are non-refundable once work has been commissioned, scheduled or started
• Final launch, handover, deployment or transfer requires all balances to be paid

7. Revisions and Delivery

The number of revision rounds, project timelines, and deliverable handoffs depend entirely on the final agreed project scope mapped out in our contract.

8. Intellectual Property

Client ownership and usage rights for delivered assets are explicitly defined within our client agreement. Any pre-existing studio intellectual property, proprietary tools, architected methods, and conceptual frameworks remain the sole property of Square Rig Studio unless definitively agreed otherwise in writing.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Square Rig Studio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of, or inability to access or use, our website.

10. Third-Party Links / Tools

Our website may reference or link to third-party tools, platforms, or sites. Square Rig Studio holds no responsibility or liability for the content, functional service, or privacy practices of these third parties.

11. Termination / Withdrawal

Square Rig Studio reserves the right to decline, terminate, or withdraw from any initial enquiry, conceptual project, or uncontracted engagement at our total discretion prior to the execution of a formal contract.

12. Governing Law

These Terms of Service, and any disputes arising out of or related to them, are governed exclusively by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
