Payment terms, deposits and retainers are confirmed in your proposal. Standard project terms are 50% deposit before work begins and 50% final balance before launch, handover or final file release. For invoice or payment queries, contact billing@squarerigstudio.com.
Payment Terms
All project work is confirmed by written proposal or statement of work before commencement. Unless agreed otherwise in writing, project fees are structured as follows:
- 50% deposit due before work begins
- 50% final balance due before launch, handover or final file release
For smaller audits, diagnostic reviews or fixed-scope advisory work, full payment may be required upfront.
Monthly retainers are billed in advance and commence once payment has been received. Work does not begin until the required payment has cleared.
Any third-party costs, including but not limited to hosting, domains, fonts, stock assets, software subscriptions, paid plugins, media hosting, integrations or advertising spend, are charged separately unless specifically included in the proposal.
Client delays, missed approvals, late content submission or major changes to the agreed scope may affect delivery timelines and may result in additional charges.
Where a project is paused by the client for more than 3 working days due to missing content, missed feedback, missed approvals or delayed decisions, Square Rig Studio reserves the right to reschedule the work into the next available production slot.
Where a project has to be restarted, re-scoped or significantly reworked due to client delay, change of direction or missed submission requirements, a restart or reactivation fee may apply.
Deposits secure production time and are non-refundable once work has been commissioned, scheduled or started.
Final files, website launch, transfer, handover or deployment will not take place until all outstanding balances have been paid.
